A quick and easy facial treatment
Run out of beauty products? Head to the fridge and simply beat the egg whites of 1 egg to create your own home made facial treatment. Apply the egg whites as a mask and leave for 10 mins, then rinse with warm water and enjoy your skin’s new fresh feeling. Egg whites are also good to reduce the puffiness under your eyes.
Binding
When heated, eggs are a great way to bind other ingredients together in your cooking –they are particularly useful with meatballs and flour mixtures.
Glue
If there is no glue in the house, egg whites serve as a handy alternative to glue for light paper and cardboard items.
A hair mask
Mixing 1 egg yolk with a tablespoon of olive oil and a cup of lukewarm water will create a simple but effective mask which will leave your hair shining. Leave the mixture on your hair for 5 mins and rinse.
Shine leather
Separate the egg whites and use a clean paintbrush to rub the mixture on leather shoes for a shining result.
